The mission of Smart & Lean Hub Oy (S&L) is to build capacity on public and private bodies and value chain operators to enhance high-level operational excellence measured by quality, delivery and cost.
Smart & Lean Hub Oy is a Finnish based micro enterprise, which customers are private and public bodies either through direct assignments or through external national and international RDI funding.
Smart & Lean (S&L) focuses on five interconnected lines of action:
capacity building and coaching; practice-oriented experiments and development activities that support incremental innovation; radical process, service, and product innovations; community building and stakeholder management; and a data-driven approach that guides decision-making and learning.
Its operating model is based on transferring value to end customers through a collaborative network that spans both national and international partners. By orchestrating this network, Smart & Lean connects capabilities, experiments, and insights into scalable impact rather than isolated initiatives.

CEO Tuula Löytty
Tuula Löytty (female) earned her MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management from Lappeenranta Technical University, and her Bachelor in Process Technology from the Satakunta University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Technology. She has worked for 18 years at the private sector and for 18 year at the higher education institutions. She is certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Lean-Sensei.

Business Intelligence Expert Kalle Karlsson
Kalle Karlsson (male) has gained a bachelor degree in business information and intelligence technologies from the South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences. He has the competences to create a knowledge management environment which fulfills the requirements of GDPR. Kalle has assortment of duties in company, from programming to data analysis. Besides those duties he also manages workstations, mobile devices, network printers, Windows operating systems, MS Office product family, Outlook, web-page (WordPress), social media and e-learning tools to provide the best possible operation and communication environment for the company.
